Though no official reason has been given for the push back from its original February 9th release, it will allow the developers time to polish up the game a little more.

Take-Two Interactive tried to divert attention away from their stalling tactics by reiterating the release of their PC exclusive, XCOM 2. Though XCOM 2 suffered a similar delay to Battleborn, as it was originally intended to be released November of this year.

Battleborn is hyped as a high action next-gen shooter from the creators of Borderlands and features 25 unique heroes to play as. The story driven game will follow in the footsteps of Borderlands as players can rampage through the game solo or in co-op with up to five others.

Take-Two Interactive is toting their game around as a “tremendously huge experience” that players can spend endless hours exploring. Players join a team of heroes that band together to save the last star in their solar system from an evil menace.

The official website for the game lists the multiple characters to choose from and the numerous features it boats, including:

3 different multiplayer modes Solo or Co-op story campaign Persistent character ranking  New Helix progression system

With so many features, unique characters, and highly detailed environments, it’s small wonder that Take-Two Interactive wants more time on their precious project. Hopefully, this one month push back date doesn’t get delayed… Again.
